Shot in Brazil over a 5 year period O ZELADOR is a feature length documentary about the life of Master Russo, a remarkable individual and master of CAPOEIRA (The Afro-Brazilian martial art and cultural phenomenon). It offers an intimate portrait of this man's life and students as well as placing CAPOEIRA firmly in its historical, political and cultural place within contemporary Brazilian society.

O ZELADOR was officially selected for the Sao Paulo International Film Festival in 2007 (World Premiere). It has since been screened at numerous festivals and cultural events around the world.

A special all-region world wide version including directors commentary and booklet is currently distributed by Bantam Films and Baked Goods distribution. It is available to buy here.

O ZELADOR was released in the UK on DVD in 2008 by Verve Pictures.
